A brand new hub for the creative minds of North Wales has been born, as The Festival of Discovery heads to Anglesey this summer - promising to provide endless fun, all aimed towards a family friendly initiative, showcasing the wonderful things born out of North Wales, and all it has to offer.

Festival Of Discovery, a name that says it all, a promise for great things this summer time, with endless opportunities, has set it's sights on Gwalchmai in Anglesey, to bring an unforgettable three days of family fun, all set In a gorgeous location. The wide spread array of magical events, all parading across the Anglesey Showground, will see many flock, to take it all in. The Festivals endless list of activities, all promise to cater for young families, keeping the kids busy, from breakfast to bed, and giving Anglesey a real winner, of family orientated summer fun. While most Festivals come packed with a wide variety of exciting activities, The Festival of Discovery wants to take it a step further, with a truly unique itinerary, including a non-animal social circus, folk dance performances & competitions, a large list of quality live music, workshops, bubble bars,  and anything else you could possibly conjure up! Another extreme win for the Festival Of Discovery, is that not only are we treated to activity after activity, but all ticket holders, have free entry into Anglesey Food Festival, bringing the best local food & produce the Island has to offer, all whilst you’re taking in the great summer vibes.

Though a great new festival for a family friendly atmosphere, it's not all about the kids. The Festivals extensive line up caters for all, with the best folk musicians ever to come out of North Wales, all coming together for the great atmosphere, sharing their tales through song. The Blas stage - curated by Blas & Folk Radio Cymru -  is the very heart of the festival, aiming to showcase the very acts you didn't know you loved yet, running live events from Midday till night, promoting exactly what this Festival is about - good old fashioned family fun. Amongst this one of a kind line-up, is ‘The Trials Of Cato’, North Wales and Yorkshire natives, who have been making huge waves in the folk music scene, earning a firm nod of approval from BBC Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe, seeing the band as “a real discovery”.

I’ve only begun to scratch the surface of all that’s going to happen at this great new event, It’s always a lovely thing when something really positive and exciting, is happening right on your doorstep.

Now, who ever said that camping had to be boring?
